• Drafts
Drafts caused by holes and cracks in the building envelope are one of the most common problems encountered in a house. These usually occur around doors and windows but can also occur in unexpected areas like around baseboards, electrical sockets, radiators set into walls and more.
  • Room too Cold or Hot
Certain rooms in the house may be too hot or too cold relative to the rest of the house. This can be caused by many factors depending on the type of heating or cooling system. In a steam system the radiator valves or air vents could be clogged or faulty. A forced air system could have duct leaks or blocked registers.
  • Noise
Walls with little or no insulation tend to transmit sound easily. Insulation can dramatically cut down on the noise transmission through a wall.
